MEDINA, Ohio — 3News Investigates has learned that two former deputized federal agents who are employed by Northeast Ohio law enforcement agencies have been indicted by a grand jury in Medina County on charges related to illegally detaining a truck driver at a bar , believing — without any apparent evidence — that he was in the U.S. illegally.
According to Medina County court records, Donald Kopchak and Daniel Lajack have each been charged with two counts of felony abduction, one felony count of ethnic intimidation, and one misdemeanor charge of assault. The two men will be arraigned on Sept. 16.
