GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - On this installment of Florida Man Adventures, we are here in Melrose at Rooterville Animal Sanctuary. We are going to be cuddling so cute critters, let’s check it out.

Rooterville Animal Sanctuary is a great place to get back to nature and experience the fun of working a farm. Thousands of visitors come to the sanctuary every year, to meet some amazing animals.

“Right now, we have about 60 rescue pigs of all types, a couple rescue cows, and we have got the highland cows and the highland mixed cows,” said Elaine West, founder of Rooterville Animal Sanctuary.

The pigs, turkeys, and cows walk freely about the property like something out of the movie “Babe”. They even enjoy a hand-fed treat.
