GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - Alachua County sheriff’s deputies say one of the jail’s latest inmates is a man wanted for battery and drug crimes that took place at a gas station in Gainesville.

Ephrom Cray III, 40, is being held without bond. Deputies say they stopped him after he tried to drive away from the Amoco gas station on South Main Street.

During the stop, he was found with cocaine, meth, bath salts, and other drugs. Detectives say Cray is a convicted felon.
