BEMIDJI – Emma Kvant has an ability to make accomplished players look like amateurs, and the Bemidji High School girls soccer team felt the brunt of that on Thursday.
St. Michael-Albertville’s standout senior forward scored thrice and picked up an assist in the Knights’ 4-0 shutout against the Lumberjacks at Chet Anderson Stadium.
“Of course, it’s her speed,” BHS head coach Logan Larsen said of the challenges Kvant poses. “She’s fast, and you can tell how good she is at finishing. She just has so many strengths. Sometimes you get a fast player, but then they put a big touch toward the keeper and we’re fine. She was able to have a tight touch still, and obviously, that’s why a lot of college coaches are looking at her right now.”
The first shot on target didn’t come until the 18th minute
