For the second time in a week, victims are calling out the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office for offering what they say are lenient punishments in serious abuse cases.

A South Florida mother spoke exclusively to NBC6 on Thursday after learning that her husband, Zachary Perez, who is accused of torturing her 6-year-old son with a dog leash , could avoid prison and instead be sentenced to two years of house arrest followed by 10 years of probation as part of a plea deal offered by the Miami-Dade State's Attorney's Office.
