Man dies after reports of possible drowning at Cultus Lake

The RCMP has confirmed that a man has died following reports of a possible drowning at Cultus Lake.

Sgt. Alexandra Mulvahill, media relations officer, says the Chilliwack RCMP was called out to the lake shortly after 12:30 p.m.

“Officers did attend with BC Ambulance, fire department, and search and rescue, and a male victim was located,” she said.

“BC Ambulance did attempt life-saving measures; however, the male was declared deceased at the scene.”

The name of the victim has not been released.
