DUBLIN, Ga. — An abandoned property that once stood as a neighborhood eyesore has been transformed into a renovated home ready for new owners, thanks to a partnership between the Dublin-Laurens Land Bank Authority and E. Turner Construction.

The six-month renovation project is part of a broader initiative to revitalize abandoned properties throughout the community, including vacant homes and lots.

"This house was terrible. This house was behind a fence and it had a tree growing out of it," said Sonya May Calvin, executive director of the Dublin-Laurens Land Bank Authority. "Now it's a beautiful home that's been restored."

Alan Richardson, who has lived in the neighborhood for 25 years, remembers when the property was in severe disrepair.
