As lawmakers negotiate on transit funding and a larger budget deal, a Republican senator is dismissing the possibility of a long-term funding solution for SEPTA amid the ongoing service cuts.

“The long term solution’s not going to happen,” Sen. Scott Martin (R-Lancaster), who chairs the Senate Appropriations Committee, told NBC10 on Thursday, Aug. 28.
