Surrey Mayor Brenda Locke is setting the record straight about a rumoured eviction of three local Rotary clubs at South Surrey Athletic Park.
A letter earlier this month left the clubs worried they were being evicted from the facility.
But Locke says all that would be changing is allowing Coastal FC to keep their youth soccer equipment in storage at the Rotary Fieldhouse.
“The City of Surrey has and will continue to support Rotary throughout our entire city, so I’m unclear where this misinformation came from,” she said.
“Unfortunately, some people decided to make this political.”

Some critics say the mayor is pitting the clubs against youth soccer and forcing the cl
