MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - As students from across the state head back to school, we sat down one-on-one with Wisconsin’s top education official, State Superintendent Dr. Jill Underly, to discuss her priorities for the school year ahead.

Vanessa Kjeldsen : There’s been a lot of talk about cell phones. Should cell phones be banned from classrooms?
Dr. Jill Underly : From a professional perspective, I see the pros to that as well as you know, potentially drawbacks... We don’t want to limit the technology I think that’s emerging, but in the cases where if it’s causing a distraction, yeah, I would support not having them in classrooms.
