LOS BANOS, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) - A crash near Los Banos shut down a portion of Highway 165 on Thursday afternoon.

According to a social media post shared at around 4:30 p.m., the Los Banos Police Department responded to the area of Highway 165, approximately two miles north of Henry Miller Avenue, for a report of a head-on vehicle crash.

Officers say the northbound and southbound lanes are shut down, and asked the public to avoid the area for the next couple of hours.

The circumstances surrounding this crash are unknown.
