The “Holiness to the Lord” panel, located above the east center tower of the Salt Lake Temple, has been restored and repainted, according to a temple renovation update provided Thursday by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Other recent renovation work on the temple has included removing the scaffolding found in the temple’s assembly room and installing chandeliers in the temple’s north sealing wing.
The progressing renovation on the Salt Lake Temple is “revealing both beautiful craftsmanship and deep historical connections to faith in Jesus Christ and the sacrifices of early (Latter-day Saints),” said the church in its update.
About the panel’s restoration
A panel with the words “Holiness to the Lord” inscribed on it is found on each of the church’s more than 200 dedicat
