BUFFALO, N.Y. — In the wake of Wednesday’s deadly shooting in Minneapolis, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office is working to reassure residents and maintain open communication with the community.
Officials say they are keeping lines of communication open with parents, teachers, and local leaders to ensure the public remains informed and prepared.
"Everything needs to be under constant scrutiny and constant evaluation. We need to be constantly learning from every situation, because every situation in effect is different," Lt. Jeremy Lehning of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday.
