HALL COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) said a 66-year-old man was found dead in Lake Lanier on Thursday morning.
According to DNR officials, the man, later identified as Brent Williams, was reported missing after a tenant noticed he had not returned from his daily swim at the lake.
Williams' body was located by the Hall County Fire Marine Rescue ROV, according to the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
At this time, no foul play is suspected.
11Alive spoke with Jerry Hulsey, Williams' neighbor, who lived two houses down and knew him for 40 years.
Hulsey said he heard from Williams around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, the day before he took his final swim.
"When you lose a neighbor like that, somebody who you enjoyed seeing and talking to, you really feel it in your hea
