BEECH GROVE, Texas — A GoFundMe has been launched to support the family of an 11-year-old boy who died after a UTV crash Tuesday evening in the Beech Grove community.

The Beech Grove Volunteer Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched around 6 p.m. to County Road 146 after reports of a UTV accident with a child trapped beneath the vehicle. Firefighters arrived to find the UTV on its side and the boy pinned underneath.

The 11-year-old Jasper County boy has been identified in the GoFundMe as Karsyn Slaydon.

A celebration of life service for Slaydon is set for Monday, September 1, 2025, at Beech Grove Baptist Church at 2 p.m. followed by interment at Holton Cemetery, according to the Shultz Funeral Home website. A visitation will be held at 1 p.m. at the church prior to the serv
