COLUMBUS, Ohio — One person died and another was injured in a head-on crash near northeast Columbus on Thursday night, according to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said the crash happened in the 3700 block of Westerville Road , south of Ferris Road, around 10:10 p.m.
According to the sheriff's office, the driver of a 2017 Buick Lacrosse was heading south on state Route 3 when it crossed into the northbound lanes and struck a 2009 Honda Pilot head-on.
The driver of the Buick was taken to a hospital in critical condition. They were later pronounced dead at 10:44 p.m.
The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital and their condition was described as stable.
The crash remains under investigation.
