The Eagles may have found their punt returner.

Britain Covey is back with the Eagles and was at practice Thursday at the NovaCare Complex. Covey was released by the Rams on Tuesday, cleared waivers on Wednesday and signed to the Eagles’ practice squad on Thursday.

The Eagles didn’t announce the move, but Covey was seen during the open portion of practice wearing jersey No. 85.

Covey averaged 14.4 yards on 29 punt returns in 2023, third-highest in franchise history behind Brian Westbrook’s 15.3 in 2003 and DeSean Jackson’s 15.2 in 2009. Covey ranked third in the NFL behind only Marvin Mims of the Broncos (16.4) and Derius Davis of the Chargers (16.0).
