LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A London special council meeting that was cancelled at the last minute has a new date.
The city rescheduled Wednesday’s special-called meeting for Friday.
Its purpose is to amend the charges against Mayor Randall Weddle. It also talks about the resignation of city council member Charles Stacy Benge, who was the only member who voted against impeaching Weddle.
Friday’s meeting is set for noon at the London Community Center.
There is a public hearing scheduled for September 5, which will be at the Laurel County Judicial Center.
