LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — Thursday, the Little Rock School District Board of Education discussed the possible closure of Hall-West High School of Innovation, formerly known as Hall High School.
The discussion was in response to an agenda item which asked about Hall-West’s status, and whether or not it would be ‘phased out.’
“This year, our enrollment has significantly dropped,” Greg Adams, the board member who prompted the discussion, said, “And so we're under 250 students, and we didn't have enough ninth graders to make a class.”
The meeting saw public comment from parents and alumni of Hall, which has been around since 1957.
“I realize that when you all are looking at these decisions, you're looking at spreadsheets and numbers,” one parent said, “And that is appropriate, but the decisions
