Women claim they were lost thousands after never getting roof work

COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (First Alert 4) - Katie Tyler said she was reacquainted with Austin Frasier, a former neighbor, after the storms on March 14.

“We used to live in Granite City, and he used to live in an apartment complex with us,” she said.

“He wanted to know if I needed a new roof and I said, ‘I’m pretty sure I do with all the storms and stuff that came through, feel free to check it out.’”

Tyler said her roof had soft spots and hail damage from the storms.

She said she made two payments to Frasier, one through Cash App and the other in cash.

Her neighbor, Jessica, even hired Frasier, sending him payment with a cashier’s check.

“Sounded great,” Jessica, who did not want to share her last name, said. “Everything you could possibly want to hear to make you go with him.”
