Gruver, Texas (KFDA) - Gruver football has a lot of eyeballs on them after their state semifinals run last year and are ready to do it again this season.
The Greyhounds were one of the last two Panhandle teams standing after going all the way to the state semi-finals.
It’s a clean slate for this season, but the goals are still as high as ever.
“We’re just trying to say it’s a new year,” says senior Briggs Satterfield. “Last year doesn’t really mean anything now, we’re just trying to work for it and ultimately try to get farther than what we did last year.”
“You always come into the year, everybody’s 0-0 and has high hopes of playing late in December,” says head coach Kurt Haberthur.
