SALISBURY — The Bell Tower Green was alive on Thursday night with representatives and students from colleges and various community organizations as part of the annual College Night Out.

For Claire Karriker, downtown coordinator with Economic Downtown Development and with Downtown Salisbury Inc., it was her first rodeo in charge of the event after coming into her role in the past year. She hit the ground running.

“We have folks from Catawba College, Livingstone College, Hood (Theological) Seminary and also Rowan-Cabarrus Community College,” she said. We hop on chats and we walk through the different things they are looking for the event to bring.”
