ACPL deserving of federal support

Even though I live in Ohio, the Allen County Public Library has been a godsend for me. I work as an academic editor, so I require interlibrary loan to access the many academic books that are usually only held by university libraries. For a mere $90 a year, I can get the books I need, in addition to enjoying ACPL’s copious collection of books, graphic novels and DVDs/Blu-rays.

But I worry about the ACPL’s future. In the spring, the Trump administration dismantled — illegally — the federal agency that funds libraries, the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
