Rutherglen Glencairn co-boss Joe Pryce has thrown down the gauntlet to his side and urged them to write themselves into Scottish Cup folklore. ‌

East of Scotland Premier Division side Newtongrange Star visit the Hamish B. Allan Stadium on Saturday, only the third time a senior Scottish Cup match has taken place in the Royal Burgh. ‌

A trip to Beith in the Premier Division follows, with Thorniewood visiting in the South Challenge Cup second round on September 13, and a visit to Dufftown in the Scottish Communities Cup second round seven days later. ‌

Pryce says his side can make a name for themselves on Saturday, while rewarding the hard work that went in to securing and maintaining the club’s SFA licence.
