Emma Orr praised Scotland’s character as they clocked up a historic win over Wales at the 2025 Women’s Rugby World Cup – in front of a band of fans from her hometown team at Biggar Rugby Club. ‌

A 38-8 triumph at Salford Community Stadium in Manchester, with a six-try showing, was Scotland’s first in the competition since 2010, with Francesca McGhie becoming the first Scotland player to score a hat-trick against Wales since 1925, and the first Scottish Women’s player ever to score a treble against Wales. ‌

Orr, from Biggar, played a key role at centre, and scored the final try to ensure Scotland racked up a 30-point win to open their Pool B campaign in spectacular fashion. ‌
