LONG BEACH — Alfred Rowe made a promise as Jordan’s new football coach. He said his team was always going to play with maximum energy and effort.
“Effort beats talent a thousand percent of the time,” Rowe said before the game.
The Panthers never quit. The team’s effort was highlighted by senior receiver Kani Swisher’s late 74-yard catch-and-run touchdown that made it a one score game with 38 seconds to go.
