JUNCTION CITY - Parents and caregivers of students at Kennedy Elementary School in Junction City will likely see delays during pick-up/drop-off periods in September as West Second Street is reconstructed.
In a project expected to take about three weeks, road crews will replace and update drainage systems, lay new underground pipes and refinish the road surface, Principal Crystal Armstrong wrote in an Aug. 26 letter to families.
The project will proceed in two phases, which will close about half of the street during each one. Both closures will prompt temporary changes to pick-up/drop-off procedures through the duration of the phase.
