SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - We have a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY in effect for Friday due to severe storms ongoing through the early morning hours and they should continue on for the most part up into the middle of the day. We’re mainly watching out for a flash flooding threat with some areas getting multiple inches of rainfall from these many storms coming on through. The storms should slowly but surely clear out during lunchtime and the early afternoon hours. It should be a dry, partly cloudy late afternoon and nighttime to start the long weekend.

Today should be the coolest day of the week with high’s only expected to reach the upper 70’s and lower 80’s for the afternoon. The morning begins with temperatures in the upper 60’s and lower 70’s.
