FORT KENT, Maine (WABI) - One man has been arrested following a firearm discharge incident in Fort Kent.

On August 24th, witnesses on Caribou Road reported that multiple gunshots were fired from a red Ford F-150 pickup truck bearing Maine veteran license plates. Responding officers located approximately nine 9mm shell casings near a residence in the area.

The following day, August 25th, a temporary arrest warrant was issued for 20-year-old Eric Pitre of Caribou.

Fort Kent and Caribou police officers arrested Pitre at his residence, where two firearms were seized.

He has been charged with Class C Reckless Conduct with a Firearm and Class C Aggravated Criminal Mischief. Pitre was transported to the Aroostook County Jail, with bail set at $10,000.
