Isn’t it great when a weather outlook turns out to be completely wrong?

Now, in most instances there would be a hint of sarcasm in that sentence. Like, lets say you are planning to finally get that outdoor painting project done because you heard it was going to be warm and dry. Then out of nowhere comes three hours of drizzle with 100% humidity. Or you just got to get into the field and it looks like you've got a window to do it, then that certain window is slammed shut by a downpour.

No, what I am talking about is genuine gladness that the weather outlook for 2025, which was calling for continued drought, was so very wrong. Turns out we were able to inch our way out of drought across much of the upper Midwest.
