BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - It’s been a warm, muggy, and mostly dry week across the Brazos Valley, but as we head into the holiday weekend and the start of football season, we’ll start to see some changes in the weather pattern.

SETUP:

High pressure has been the main driver of our drier and warmer setup over the past week, but as we approach the weekend, it will start to shift west, loosening its grip across the area. This shift will open the door for a weak cold front to slide into the Lone Star State Friday, gradually working its way south through the weekend before finally reaching the coast as we close out Sunday.
