There might not be an Alberta Bair Theater without Hewes and Susan Agnew. And they’re making sure it’ll stick around for a long, long time.

The Agnews, who have lived in Billings since 1972 and have left a legacy of philanthropy across the West, are giving $1 million to the Alberta Bair Theater. The money is endowing the executive director position, ensuring that the theater has good leadership in the future as it nears 100 years of being a cornerstone of downtown Billings.

“The Agnew family’s investment in the Alberta Bair Theater is second only to the Bair family,” said ABT board member Ron Yates. “We can’t thank him enough for that.”
