Celebrity makeup artist now in the spotlight himself

Not everyone can just drop a note to celebrity singer-actress Selena Gomez if they’re feeling nervous.

Then again, Hung Vanngo isn’t just everyone. The former Calgarian is an internationally renowned makeup artist to the stars.

And on Sept. 8, he’ll launch his first makeup line, Hung Vanngo Beauty, at Sephora stores across North America. The 60-some products — featuring names such as Outstanding Orange and Rebellious Red & Pink — include eye shadow, eyeliners, lipstick, lip liner, bronzer and blush.

“I got into makeup in the ’90s, in the supermodel era, and I always loved the glamour,” he says. “I want to bring glamour — and colour — back. We need colour in our lives.”
