KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - Police in Kinston are investigating a late-night homicide.

Officers were alerted to a shooting on East Bright Street shortly before midnight.

They found 52-year-old Daryl Dudley inside an apartment at Richard Green Apartments with an apparent gunshot wound.

The man died at the scene.
