Two more employees are set to depart the Albemarle County registrar’s office amid a criminal investigation into alleged financial misconduct.

Registrar Lauren Eddy, who had held the post since 2022, resigned the day after an Aug. 11 emergency meeting of the Albemarle Electoral Board announced she was “the subject of an investigation and is on administrative leave.”

Albemarle police spokeswoman Logan Bogert confirmed Tuesday that Eddy was under investigation, but no charges have been filed. She added that updates will be shared as they become available.

Eddy will be followed out the door by elections manager Erin Davis and chief deputy registrar Jeania Pace whose resignations will take effect next Friday. Bogert said neither Davis nor Pace is under investigation. It is unclear when they
