Power outage leads to school closures in Shreveport

SHREVEPORT, La. - Two Caddo Parish schools will be closed Friday due to power outages.

Officials say the power is out at Northwood High School and Donnie Bickham Middle School.

SWEPCO says restoration is expected by 6 p.m.

Buses are transporting students to their regular stops, and parents are encouraged to pick up students directly from both Northwood and Donnie Bickham campuses.
