Highway 1 east of Chilliwack is blocked in both directions after a crash involving a semi truck Friday morning.

Callers to 1130 NewsRadio first reported the crash around 7 a.m.

A semi truck reportedly hit the guardrail travelling westbound just before Annis Road, knocking the guardrail into eastbound traffic.

Westbound drivers can detour using the Highway 9 offramp to Yale Road and rejoin Highway 1 via Annis Road.

Eastbound drivers can use the Annis Road offramp to Yale Road and rejoin on Highway 9.
