Police arrested a 14-year-old after he allegedly used a BB gun to rob a convenience store in Back Bay on Thursday morning, police said.

At about 3:30 a.m., officers went to the 7-Eleven store on Dartmouth Street where the robbery occurred, police said in a statement.

The officers were told that someone had pointed a gun at the clerk, demanded cash from the register, and left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

After a description and photo of the suspect were broadcasted to police, officers spotted an individual who fit that description walking on St. James Avenue and followed him to 205 Dartmouth St., where he was arrested, police said.
