A man already serving time for killings in Montana and Boston pleaded not guilty Wednesday to two additional first-degree murder charges in Lowell and Cambridge, prosecutors said.

Kevin J. Lino, 38, was indicted this month in the years-old killings, which include the 2010 death of Gary A. Melanson in Lowell and the 2012 death of Douglas Leon Clarke in Cambridge, the Globe reported .

Lino was transported Wednesday morning from Souza-Baranowski Correctional Center in Lancaster, where he is serving his current sentence, to Middlesex Superior Court for his arraignment, according to court records.

He is due back in court Oct. 3 for sentencing, the records show.
