On the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina's historic landfall along the Gulf Coast, LPB will air "Katrina 20 – A Louisiana : The State We're In Special" at 7 p.m. Friday on LPB’s statewide network and WLAE-TV in New Orleans.

The special also will air at 7:30 p.m. Friday on WYES-TV, serving New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. An encore airing on LPB will be at 4 p.m. Sunday.

The hour revisits the storm’s enduring impact through the voices of those who lived it, while also looking ahead to the lessons learned and the changes still unfolding, a news release states.
