EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - On Friday morning, the Office of the District Attorney for the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit of Georgia announced that one of the defendants in the Crocker murder case has entered a guilty plea.
Mark Wright has entered a guilty plea on the following counts: • Murder in the Second Degree (reduced from Malice Murder) • Cruelty to Children in the First Degree • Cruelty to Children in the Second Degree (reduced from First Degree) • Two counts of Concealing the Death of Another • False Imprisonment
Wright's sentencing will take place in October. He faces 10–80 years in prison. A condition of the plea agreement is that the death penalty be removed from consideration.
