Rod Stewart says he’ll steer clear of Ibrox on Sunday, claiming he'd 'get his throat cut' if he turned up for the Old Firm clash.
The Celtic -daft rocker, 80, made the stark remark in a live talkSport interview yesterday when asked if he would be attending Sunday's derby.
He said: "Are you kidding me? Go to Ibrox ? I’ll get me throat cut."
Sir Rod insisted Rangers ’ season hangs in the balance, warning defeat would leave them too far adrift of their rivals.
He added: "It’s unpredictable. It really is. I mean, if they lose, Rangers lose, that’s it. Season’s over with nine points in front."
But the Maggie May star admitted he also feels for his rivals, branding the state of Scottish football "embarrassing."
