SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) - Students are moving onto campus at Springfield College and American International College in Springfield as the new academic year begins.

At Springfield College, over 300 incoming students arrived to move into their dorms with the help of athletes from the college's sports teams.

"It's something they've been planning for...and their parents...for a long time and so there is anxiety and excitement," said Mary-Beth Cooper, president of Springfield College.

Dan Milanese, a junior on the school's club rugby team, commented on the move-in process, saying, "Moving in as a freshman is already super stressful...but I think it also just kind of highlights how Springfield College is not like any other college...we're kind of like just one big community."
