MADISON (WKOW) -- Justice Rebecca Bradley, a member of the conservative minority on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, won't run for re-election in 2026.

"I believe the best path for me to rebuild the conservative movement and fight for liberty is not as a minority member of the Court," Bradley said in a statement Friday morning.

Bradley joined the court in 2015 when then-Gov. Scott Walker (R) appointed her. She then won election to a full 10-year term in 2016.

When the court's conservative wing lost the majority in 2023, Bradley spoke scathingly about her soon-to-be colleague, Janet Protasiewicz.
