Southport Air Show is returning to the Sefton Coast this weekend. There will be incredible aerial displays in the sky and lots of fun on the ground too, including the chance to get up close to military aircraft.

The show takes place on Saturday, August 30 and Sunday, August 31, starting from 10am and closing at around 5pm.

Among the aircraft taking part this year are the RAF Typhoon, the Rolls Royce Spitfire, and the Sea King helicopter. Although this year the RAF Red Arrows will not appear at the airshow

But spectators can get the chance to see the A- 26 Invader and the L-39 Albatross this year, as well as breathtaking displays by Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers and the Falcons Parachute Display Team.
