A prolific shoplifter who admitted stealing from a string of stores has been jailed.

Lauren Brown targeted Savers, B&M, Aldi , Sainsbury's , Next, Co-op and Morrisons across Tamworth and Burton-on-Trent this year.

She was arrested and admitted stealing goods worth a total of around £1,840 from Savers in Tamworth and Burton-on-Trent, as well as around £640 of items from B&M Tamworth, across a number of days in January and July this year.

She also pleaded guilty to stealing cosmetics worth £1,280 from Sainsburys in Burton-on-Trent in August and handling stolen goods belonging to Aldi in the same month.
