SAN BENITO — A thing of beauty is a joy for ever.
This poignant line from the poem “Endymion” by John Keats tugs at the blissful snapshots of memory, those pieces of timeless beauty we embrace within us all of our lives.
So passionate are these remembrances that the San Benito Greyhound Marching Band is presenting a show this year called “Snapshots.”
“The idea behind it is emotions and memories and moments and the snapshots that come to life,” said Dulce Rodriguez, the new band director at San Benito High School.
Rodriguez has served the district for 15 years and is now stepping into her new role with zest and energy. She’s enjoying the show and the kids.
“I like it a lot,” she said. “I think the kids are passionate for this. They’ve been practicing hard all summer.”
