With the first day of school approaching, the Brantford Police Service Traffic Unit will launch a Back-to-School Road Safety Campaign, focused on aggressive and distracted drivers and speeders.

Officers will also be conducting stop sign enforcement throughout September.

“As kids return to school, we ask everyone to be extra careful on our city streets, as children may not pay attention to the rules of the roads or watch for moving cars,” said a news release. “We would like to remind motorists and pedestrians of the importance of working together to ensure our roads remain a safe place.”
