SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -- A woman is suspected of being under the influence in a crash that killed a motorcyclist in Spokane Valley Thursday night.
According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, 61-year-old Darla Stoffel is facing a charge of vehicular homicide for a crash on Sprague Avenue and Custer Road around 9:40 p.m.
Deputies says Stoffel was heading east on Sprague and went to make a left-hand turn when she struck a westbound motorcyclist.
The man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene. Stoffel suffered minor injuries.
During the investigation, SCSO says indicators of cannabis use were located in Stoffel's vehicle and investigators believe she was impaired.
Stoffel was booked into the Spokane County Jail. The medical examiner will release the motorcyclist's identity
