The line, as usually is the case on Saturday mornings at the intersection of Utica Avenue and Third Street, started to form early. And by the time the door to Country Bird Bakery opened at 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, said line was wrapped around the building.

Some people availed themselves of the Country Bird-branded blue bumbershoots provided to block some of the early-morning Oklahoma sun, on a day when the temperatures were headed for the mid-90s and the humidity was enough to make one question one’s wardrobe choices.
